This pine wood deck was never treated, or protected from the harsh elements…one of wood’s biggest enemies. The surface of the deck gave the impression that the wood was completely wasted away with no hopes of reviving it and the only chance for beautification was to have the deck replaced.
This restoration project was a two day process which began with a thorough cleaning of the weathered deck then neutralizing of the wood to revive its natural look. The weathered wood was treated with the right soaps which was able to lift the caked-on dirt and grime from the wood in high traffic areas, as well as kill the mold that was beginning to grow on the surface. After the deck was completely dried it was time to apply the professional grade stain/sealant that we use. This deck was stained with a transparent stain which allows the natural beauty of the wood grain to still show while adding some slight pigment to the wood for aesthetic purposes. This deck is now revived, beautified, and protected from the elements thus resulting in a longer life.
