Fence and Deck Staining

Q: Is my fence/deck discolored because it’s old?
A: No. The gray on a fence or deck is mold. A new fence or deck will turn gray within 1 year if not properly protected.
Q: How can I get the mold off of my fence/deck?
A : The correct ratio of bleach and water will help to remove the mold; however some heavily discolored fences may require a LOW pressure wash (500 PSI) to remove the mold.
Q: Why should I stain my fence or deck?
A: Staining a fence/deck extends life beyond that of even a new fence/deck because of the waterproofing and sealing that it provides.  In addition, the beautiful appearance lasts longer than that of a new fence at almost a third of the cost.

Q: How long will the color of the stain last on my wood fence or deck?
A: Depending on the weather, the stain color and properties will last up to
3 years (backed by a manufacturer’s warranty) on your wood fence and 2-3
years on your wood deck.

Roof Cleaning

Q: What are the black stains on my shingles?
A: The stains are algae that feed on the crushed limestone that is used in the manufacturing of asphalt shingles.

Q: How can the algae affect my roof?
A: Besides the unsightly discoloration, the algae feeds on the limestone filler used to give the shingles weight.  Over time the granules protecting the surface of the shingle begin to loosen and wash off.  This compromises the roof’s ability to reflect heat rays which can overheat a roof, as a result,  increasing air conditioning bills and shortening shingle life.

Q: Will the algae removal process harm my roof?
A: The application of the chemicals on the roof allows the algae to dissolve and become loose, therefore only requiring a LOW rinse to remove it. The equipment that we use is constructed to permit a high quantity of water flow to flush out the dead algae with a minimal pressure as to not compromise the integrity of the shingles and harm your roof.

Q: How do I determine the size of my roof?
A: A one-story house with 60 feet by 35 feet outside dimensions, livable square footage would be 60 X 35 = 2100 sq. ft. With a “walkable” roof pitch you will multiply the heated square footage by 1.08*; therefore the approximate square footage of roof to be cleaned will be 2100 x 1.08 = 2268 sq. ft.
* = This number varies according to the steepness of the roof pitch up to 1.4.

Fleet Washing

Q: Why should I outsource the washing of my fleet of vehicles?
A:  * No wash rig to maintain
* No employee to do the washing
* No chemicals to stock
* Mechanics can see and make repairs faster
* Engines run much cooler when they have a clean, dirt- free
    radiator and  components
* Fixed cost per unit
* Happy Operators
